The participants also heard lectures and presentations from NYU’s faculty, visited various local social work organizations, and also experienced New York City’s unique cultural atmosphere. The group visited with leaders of New York City’s Department of the Aging and also with the Chinese-American Planning Council to gain better perspectives on how local government and private organizations are working to better serve seniors, families, and children.
An opening ceremony was held at NYU campus, TECO-NY Education Acting Director Jennifer Wang was also invited to attend, who indicated that social work could represent one of the important indicators of the quality of life of the people of the country.
